Cut your own bangs

Raise your hand if you've never tried this. Here it is! The fringe, whether it's lateral, long, short, layered or tufted, is essential for the balance of the cut. Like it or not, it should be managed monthly. Hair grows 1 or 2 cm per month and, while the lengths don't show any difference, the fringe immediately comes undone, loses its shape, disturbs the view, in short, it should be cut.
So come on and be brave, in the absence of a trusted hairdresser, let's arm ourselves with scissors and proceed without fear.
It is essential to gradually file the length so as to have a margin to remedy any small errors.
Long straight bangs
Wet your hair and outline the fringe area with a comb.
Bring the fringe forward holding the hair between the index and middle fingers and proceed with the horizontal cut.
At this point, dry the fringe and make the final touches by eye.
Fringe in pin up or rockabilly style
This type of fringe is shorter, but the procedure is the same. You need to be careful and finish it on dry hair, so as not to overdo it and end up with a completely exposed forehead. The length is essential to define it on dry hair.
Layered side bangs
Outline the fringe area with the comb, bring the hair forward and hold it between the index and middle fingers as for the straight fringe. The only difference is the direction which must be opposite to that of the tuft.
By pulling the hair held between the index finger and thumb to the left and cutting sharply, you get a layered look to the right with a soft tuft effect. Here too, start small and define the final length gradually.
